Obwohl ich gestern Nacht wie immer spät zu Bett ging, erwachte ich heute Morgen schon um 7:30 Uhr. Zuerst wollte ich mich nochmals umdrehen, dann besann ich mich doch anders und entschied der Strandpromenade entlang joggen zu gehen. Ich rannte im Schatten der Bäume Richtung Süden und bemerkte mit Schrecken, dass das Meer heute gar nicht mehr da war... das heisst, es war Ebbe und der Strand war daher bis weit hinaus zum Riff gewachsen! Auch hatte ich gestern Abend gesehen, dass sich noch viele Hotels mehr entlang dem Strand erstreckten und dass das Inna Sindhu Beach Hotels eines der älteren war, dafür eines der einzigen mit Meersichtzimmern… : ) Da es heute Morgen unmöglich war im Meer schwimmen zu gehen, benutzte ich stinkfrech den grossen Pool des Hotel Puri Santrian ganz im Süden von Sanur...
 

Although it got very late until I went to bed last night, as always, I woke up already at 7:30 am this morning. First, I intended to go back to sleep, but then I decided differently and went for a run along the beach promenade. I ran in the shade of the trees to the south and recognized with a fright that the sea was no longer there... that was, because with low tide the beach had grown as far as to the reef! Also, I had noticed last night already that many more hotels stretched along the beach and that the Inna Sindhu Beach one who was older ones, for it is one of the single ones with sea view rooms...: ) Since swimming in the sea was not impossible this morning, I used boldly the large pool of the Hotel Puri Santrian Sanur all in the south of Sanur...

Zurück im Hotel ging ich erst einmal ausgiebig frühstücken… Und da man sich hier an einem Buffet bedienen kann, habe ich natürlich wieder mal viel zu viel gegessen! : (

Back at the hotel I went to have an extensive breakfast... And since you can help yourself at the buffet, I consequently ate much too much! ( :

Da ich heute aber nichts anderes als Ausruhen auf dem Programm hatte, machte ich nach dem Frühstück erst einmal einen Verdauungsspaziergang entlang der Strandpromenade, diesmal Richtung Norden, und besuchte die vielen Geschäfte des Marktes. Zudem buchte ich einen Ausflug zur Nachbarinsel Lembongan für morgen und eine Massage für Sonntag Nachmittag... Nun hatte ich meine restliche Zeit hier auf Bali gut organisiert und konnte mich getrost dem wieder aufgefüllten Meer und dem Liegestuhl am Strand widmen - herrlich, endlich Urlaub! ; )

Since I my programme todays was nothing but relaxing, I after breakfast I first went for a digestive walk along the beach promenade, this time heading north, and visited the many shops of the market. I also booked a trip to the neighbouring island of Lembongan for tomorrow and a massage for Sunday afternoon... Now that I had well oganized rest of my time here in Bali, I finally was able to confidently devote myself to the again refilled ocean and a deckchair on the beach - heavenly, finally holidays! ; )

Nach einem ruhigen Tag am Strand machte ich mich bereit für den Abend, den ich im Restaurant Legong reserviert hatte. Pani, die ich hier letzte Woche auf dem Weg nach Ubud kennen gelernt hatte, erwartete mich schon freudig! Zur Feier des Tages bestellte ich mein Lieblingsmenu: Eine Flasche Hattan Weisswein (den Rest nahm ich mit ins Hotel für morgen), einen Crevetten-Avocado-Cocktail und einen Lobster! : ))) Dazu gab es eine Show verschiedener balinesischer Tänze - geht es mir gut!!!

After a quiet day at the beach I got ready for the evening, which I had reserved at the Legong Restaurant. Pani, who I had got to know last week here on the way to Ubud, already awaited me happily! To celebrate the day I ordered my favourite food: A bottle of Hattan white wine (the rest I took to the hotel for tomorrow), a shrimp and avocado cocktail and a lobster! : ))) And with it there was a show of various Balinese dances – what a life!
